In the morning I did a painting along the lines I’d prepared during the week. It looked okay. I tried to replicate some of the complexity of the drawings/photocopies etc with pen and ink. It kind of worked but in reality the painting gave me less than I thought – probably less than the original drawings/photocopies.

Spent the afternoon more or less waiting to talk to Tony really about where to go…

Two things I did with my painting to give it more complexity:

1.Cut it out and pasted over the top of one of my projected film still images

2. Did a close up of some of the marks
