One thing I’ve been trying to do is, while keeping the intensity of my black and white train drawings, to try to make the visual experience less complete, less in your face.
So this is a sketchbook try out for a bigger piece – based on a photo I took last year from the Nunhead train. Somewhere between Elephant and Peckham Rye. Building seen through trees.
Ive been waiting for the moment to arrive to use the photo. I didn’t want to copy it , just to give the feeling somehow.
Second piece is a collage of two photos – one of the Ritherhithe Tunnel – I often had to drive through in the way to teachers centres and schools in North London. Could be quite nerve wracking. And the second photo, the 172 bus, where I’m sitting at the moment blogging.
